Here is a stat that confirms one of my reasons for why Real Estate values in Vancouver will continue to rise. StatsCan reported 10,853 people moved to BC during the first quarter of 2006. Last year 38,000 people moved to BC. This is putting stress on the demand for housing both for rentals and sales. Immigrants tend to rent a home before buying as they familiarize themselves with the local market. Good news for those investors who want to rent their properties.
