Christmas Fun

I am sitting with my laptop while I watch the finale of The Apprentice and it made me realize that I hadn't blogged about this past weekend. I had a good friend visiting from Toronto this weekend and hence had a great excuse to check out some of Vancouver's Christmas events.

Saturday started with a trip to Van Pets in Yaletown for a photo with Santa for Mystic. Stayed tuned for a view of the picture next week, reindeer antlers and all.

While I was doing an inspection with clients at the newly finished Taylor at 550 Taylor,  I sent my friend off to the Picasso exhibit at THe Vancouver Art Gallery. For dinner we had an amazing meal at The Sandbar on Granville Island and then went to The Imprentice, The North Pole Edition (here is the tie in to tonight's event) performed by Vancouver Theatresports League. The show was a take off on the Apprentice with the contestants, who were elves, veying to be the new Santa. The tasks were based on suggestions given by the audience. I had tears in my eyes, I laughed so much.

On Sunday we went for a drive to Fort Langely. Our first stop was at The Fort Wine Co. where after a few samples we picked out some incredible fruit wines, including a yummy Blackberry liquer, a perfect after Christmas dinner treat, my version of plum pudding!. After that we checked out the stores in town and finished with lunch. A very civilized way to Christmas shop.
