Great Place to Work
Just read an article in 24 hours that lists the top 100 employers in Canada. Over a dozen of them are here in the lower mainland. It mentions that there is a trend towards innovative workplace practices such as time off for elder care, retiree benefits and salary top up for compassionate leave.
Also, it was noted that there is a strong connection between an employer's charitable work and how an employer treats its own employees.
It is great to think that not only is Vancouver considered a great place to live but also home to great places to work.
