I belong to the Vancouver Bloggers Meetup Group, a group that never has a problem with what to talk about. Topics of conversation range from the best place to buy olive oil to religion and its place in society. I have met some great people through this group including Nancy Zimmerman. Nancy runs a company called Your Money by Design which helps people get "savvy" with money. Yesterday, Nancy hosted a seminar called Leveraging Your Money. Presenting at this seminar were Chris Nelmes, a financial planner and Malcolm Laird of Verico Nova Team Kits. Malcolm had a great presentation explaining The Smith Manoeuvre developed by Fraser Smith, who he knows. The Smith Manoeuvre enables you to use the equity in your home to fund investments. He has access to mortgages that are designed to accommodate the Smith Manoeuvre.
