Area to Watch - Crosstown
Recently an article ran in 24Hrs Newspaper about the neighbourhood of Crosstown, in downtown Vancouver. This is the name of the area where Chinatown, Gastown and Downtown meet, and includes the Woodwards project. This is also an area that I have been watching as a good area for investment and growth. According to the article written by Susan Boyce, the average price is $600 per sq.ft and $350,000 for 1 bedroom starting price. Interesting to note is this is an area where more boutique style, lower rise, lower density buildings are. As well there are restorations and facade saving buildings which are incorporating cutting edge interior design with innovative space saving features. Some of the projects in this are include 33, East, Terminus, Bowman Lofts, Espana etc. Definitely an area to watch.
