A question I am constantly asked is are Real Estate prices going to continue to rise and why? This article yesterday in the Toronto Star by David Crane emphasises why the prospects for a prosperous economy in British Columbia and as a consequence a healthy real estate market in Vancouver are possible, despite the fact that values may not rise as high elsewhere. David Crane writes that the shift in the world economy due to China's economic growth will shift Canada's exports from manufacturing to commodities, Canada will once again become a resource driven economy. This bodes well for British Columbia and Alberta. Of course while hoping that our federal government will build economic ties that will help us prosper, I wish that our environment and all human rights are protected.
